Following the placement of the adopted child in your family, Post Placement or Post Adoption reports are required for many international and domestic adoptions. Post adoption supervision is for families who have completed the adoption process and the child holds an adoption decree. This applies to most international adoptions. Post placement is for those families who have a child placed with them but the adoption is not yet final. This applies to US domestic adoptions. The purpose of the report is to let your agency and/or the country from which you adopted know how the child’s placement in your family is progressing. There is a separate fee schedule for post placement services.
